The Big Star Horse Project and Billboard is an online auction and print sale to raises awareness and funds to benefit HARPS, the Hooved Animal Rescue & Protection Society. HARPS is an non-profit organization that rescues and rehabilitates animals that are liberated from situations of neglect or abuse.
“Big Star”, the horse pictured on the billboard and prints, is an example of a magnificent, healthy and well cared for animal. However, this is not the case for many horses and other hooved animals as ignorance, lack of financial ability or simple neglect endangers many helpless animals in Illinois and across the country. HARPS is an organization that not only removes these animals from negligent owners but also provides medical attention and rehabilitation at their facility in Barrington, Illinois.
As a horse photographer and animal lover my hope is that this image of Big Star can bring a level of awareness to this issue and raise some much needed funds to help HARPS continue their important mission. Please consider bidding on the Big Star Horse billboard or purchasing a Big Star Horse print.
